Carpet & Upholstery Cleaning

All Valley Property Services staff are certified by IICRC (Institute of Inspection, Cleaning and Restoration Certification). We offer expert commercial and residential carpet cleaning with commercial maintenance programs performed by our professional, trained and certified technicians.

Our professional cleaners use these established IICRC S100 procedures on all our projects. These procedures are as follows:

IICRC S100 carpet and rug cleaning process.

Pre-vacuuming: The vacuuming removes most dried soil and grit from the carpet. This process means a faster and more efficient cleaning.

Carpet Identification: Proper fabric identification is the first step to proper cleaning and spot removal.

Pre-spotting: Specifically approved treatment solutions are used to remove spots and spills on the carpet. Always remember that stains are permanent changes to the carpet fiber. Spots are generally on the outside of the fiber and are more likely to be removed when cleaned or reduced when treated and cleaned.

Pre-conditioning: Applying the right cleaning agents for your carpet type will start the suspension of soils. These cleaning agents and the loosened soils will be ready to be rinsed away.
Rinse and Extraction: Perform a complete and through clean hot water rinse extraction of the carpet. This step will remove the preconditioning cleaning agents, the suspended soils, and return your carpet to a more healthy condition.

Blocks and Tabs: Help to prevent color transfer or rust stains from the furniture to the carpet. Do not remove the Blocks or Tabs until all fibers are totally dry.

Application of Fabric Protection: An optional fabric protector is applied to the carpet fibers. This application will help extend the life and beauty of the carpet.

Carpet Grooming: Carpet grooming assists to reset the pile, design and pattern of the carpet. It also helps distribute the carpet protectant correctly and aids in aeration of the carpets.

Area and Oriental Rugs may be cleaned on site using the same process. However, we generally recommend they be cleaned in our shop. There we can perform the additional step of safely remove lose dirt and debris from the carpet pile with our hand operated dusting machinery shown below.

We can also take advantage of our drying racks and turbo dryers to speed drying time.

In either case, your carpet will be more beautiful and healthier than before.
